Handbound Lether Bound Notebook 2 Sizes options
Every page in these books began by hand.
Each sheet was folded, each gathering was punched, and every signature was sewn into a text block before being wrapped in leather. These are experimental, zero-waste books made from beautiful materials I already had in the studio.
They are slow-made books with visible character, made for someone who loves the feel of paper, thread, leather, and time.
The buff-colored book is bound in goatskin and has the perfect place for a label of your choosing. There is no extra fee for this. Just leave a note in the order notes, and I will engrave it for you.
Both books have 320 blank ivory pages. The paper came from a beautiful stack I found, with no identification mark or mill name. It feels thick, substantial, and reminds me of vintage ledger paper. It is a lovely writing experience.
I have speckled many book edges before, but never at 2:30 in the morning during a night of insomnia. I also had never tried using fountain pen ink for the speckles. Turns out, I like it. I prefer the smaller freckles along the top edge, though the larger ink spots have their own charm too.
The goatskin book measures 7 1/8" tall, 4 7/8" wide, and 1 1/8" thick.
The Little Black Book is made the same way and is engraved with an oval decorative design. It measures 6" tall and about 4" wide. The leather here is Morland from the Austen collection.
These are hardbound books with built-in character. If you enjoy a book that feels personal before you ever write a word in it, one of these would make a beautiful addition to your collection.
