The way a journal closes is more than practical—it’s part of its personality. With our Custom Closure options, you decide how your notebook is secured, carried, and expressed.

Choose from timeless snaps, refined elastics, elegant belt closures, or a clean, open design. Each option offers a distinct look and feel, allowing you to match your journal to your lifestyle and aesthetic.

For belt closures, a sturdy rivet is used to anchor the strap directly through the elastic hole—creating a functional, beautifully understated fastening solution that honors both form and function.

Level 3 — Standard Stuffable · 3–4 inserts

  • 2 · Slim Everyday — ideal for 2–3 inserts and a simple, graceful daily carry.
  • 3 · Standard Stuffable — designs with strap closures, happiest with 3–4 average inserts and a little room for dashboards.
  • 4 · High Capacity — Traveler’s Notebooks with elastic closures that love layered, “chunky” journaling setups.
  • 5 · Maximalist — trifolds and leather wrap styles for generous, overflowing notebooks and keepsakes.
Strap-closure designs are most content with three to four average inserts and a dashboard or two that do not exceed 1.25 inches or 2.7cm. The strap keeps everything neat and secure, but it does not stretch like elastic, so a moderate, tidy setup is ideal.
