      The Austin Leather is Marvelous

      I have not had ant notebook in Austin before. It feels amazing. I love touching and smelling the leather. I love how Austin folio fits my notebooks. Chic Sparrow have a true winner with this Austin folio. I want get another Austin notebook.

      Terrible Quality

      I have been a customer of Chic Sparrow for years now, but after this I will not be a customer anymore. This was the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. The leather is uneven, with the top being an inch to the right over the bottom part. This is very noticable. The snap closure is crooked also. That is extremely noticeable. I noticed it right away when I opened my package. Besides the snap closure being crooked, everytime I open and close it, little bits of metal come out onto the leather. The quality is not what it used to be at Chic Sparrow. I have a Darcy Austen folio from just a few years ago and this is not the same leather. This leather is very thin now and not thick like it was. If you love a thick leather I would not recommend this at all. I would also not recommend the snap closure. If I could, I would give this a zero star rating. I am very disappointed in Chic Sparrow.

For folio designs, we do thin the leather slightly so the contents fit better and the overall piece isn’t bulky. That said, what you’ve described with the snap and alignment should not have happened, and I completely understand your disappointment.

      I have this in a bunch of sizes and it's wonderful.

      I love the folio designs. I started out with traveler's notebook style covers (the ones with elastics on the binding) but soon figured out that I prefer thicker notebooks. The Chic Sparrow folios give me the feeling of a TN but that more secure feeling with a thicker journal! Darcy is probably my favorite leather right now too - it ages so beautifully.

      Stunning!!!

      I went back and forth for months about whether to order this folio and I'm so happy I did. It's absolutely gorgeous! I asked for lots of fat roles and striations, and I was lucky enough to get it. I'm so pleased with this purchase, and look forward to using and enjoying this notebook cover for years to come.
