Keeping you informed on USPS Shipping

First off: for domestic orders $25 and over, your shipping options will start at Priority padded envelope through USPS which is insured. Shipping cost is typically around $7-12 depending on your order weight. 


Previously, USPS first class was an option on all domestic orders for a total of $2.50. That promotion is now over. 

 

Even though we know the percentage chance of your mail getting lost or stolen is very small, we would very much prefer you choose an option that has some liability for the things you're spending your hard-earned money for, just in case.

  • If your order is below $24.99 beling delivered in the states, you'll still be able to choose First Class Mail for $3.75 (rate pulled from USPS website)

Please note: USPS First Class is a "NO SERVICES" option which means they don't guarantee tracking. There is no insurance with first class mail. It is simply the most economical option.

  • If your order is above $24.99 being delivered in the states, expect to pay slightly more ($7+)  for insured Priority Mail. 

Great news: Priority is automatically insured up to $100 and typically delivered within 3 business days from dispatch (YAY!). 

Apart from Priority Mail, you will still have all the other normally availalble options including UPS Ground, Expedited, etc.

Beloved customers in other countries: 

First Class Mail international is a "NO SERVICES" option which means the delivery does not offer you tracking, rerouting options, insurance, or any other service. It is simply the most economical; and by no means the best value. 

For instance, once the package leaves the US (commonly marked as left the airport in San Fransisco) we cannot even ask about the parcel. We can't request tracking updates, we can't file a claim, and we can't ask for the parcel to be returned to sender.

Which is FINE if everything goes peachy... but what if it doesn't? We'd prefer you have an option we can help you with such as Priority USPS or UPS.

If a USPS first Class International order goes missing or is delayed for whatever reason, we will simply have to wait for the package to be rerouted or sent back to us. Chic Sparrow does not cover the cost of lost or stolen mail, and we highly recommend you choose an insured option such as UPS or Priority USPS.
